About the Event
This symposium will bring together Methodist and Wesleyan leaders and scholars from around the world to debate critical questions and work together constructively on what, in the tradition of the Wesleys, it means to lead in our multiple contexts today.
Panel members will share experiences of peace-making in war torn countries, of decolonizing curriculum in the global south, of leading as women and as ethnic minorities, and of pioneering new forms of ministry in post-Christian contexts, and we will reflect together on the theological principles of the Methodist heritage with the aim of learning from one another and from our shared history as we face the challenges of leadership in our own roles and contexts today.
Half the symposium time will be spent engaging with global panel members, and half in small groups sharing experiences and working constructively on topics and projects of common interest.
